Building on our tradition of developing some of the most rugged skid plates on the planet specifically for adventure bikes, we have taken our experience and applied it to our new skid plate for the BMW F650GS / F700GS twin. Our application  INCLUDES four double-sided rubber shear bolts necessary for mounting the skid plate to the bike. These typically run $50 for a set of four from most BMW dealers.

This innovative design utilizes two steel supports on the front and back to brace the skid plate from hard impacts that would typically rip off the stock “skid plate” or other aftermarket skid plates that utilze only the four rubber shear bolts for mounting to the bike. The rear steel support attached to the frame of the bike, giving it even more strength. Because of this design, it is very unlikely that the two-sided rubber shear bolts will be damaged over time like every other skid plate on the market. The replacement of those mounts can get pricey ($50 from most BMW dealers). Look at this way, this the is the only skid plate on the market that is likely to SAVE YOU MONEY over the long run.

Another innovative feature of this skid plate is that it can be removed or installed on the bike with only two bolts. A “key hole” design in the rear of the plate secures the skid plate to the underlying framework, simplifing maintenance procedures.

Further separating this skid plate from the pack, our design is compatible with the FULL REMUS EXHAUST SYSTEM. It is our understanding that none of the other skid plates on the market are compatible.

As with our other designs, our skid plate for the F650GS / F700GS twin offers MORE protection than any others on the market providing full coverage of the oil cooler, oil filter, engine case, exhaust headers and catalystic converter.
