A BIG congratulations to Ned Suesse -- the only American rider to finish the Dakar for 2012. Way to go Ned!
For our second year in a row, we supported several of the American riders in the Dakar Rally. Now held in South America, the rally begins every January from Buenos Aires, Argentina, travels through Chile, and ends in Lima, Peru. It's a lifelong dream for many adventure riders and off-road competitors alike.
In 2012, our good friend Ned Suesse (aka Neduro) -- #81, who raced for the first time and fulfilled his lifetime dream. We supported Ned's efforts for his race to the finish. Rigid Industries sponsored him with LED lighting as well. Ned is running a Rigid Industries Dually 2x2 for a low beam and a D2 driving beam for his high beam, in is custom Rally Moto Fairing.
Jonah Street -- #19 has had the longest presence in the Dakar of any American racer in recent memory. He has the talent to race up front, which he's shown in past years with several stage wins, coming in ahead of the UBER-factory supported racers. We were honored to help Jonah's fundraising efforts and wish him much success in the Dakar!
Mike Stanfield -- #147, owner of Freedom Cycles is racing the Dakar in 2012 for the second year in a row. Mike is using a Rigid Industries Dually 2x2 spot as the primary headlight, and using the BDCW dirtbike triple-clamp mount with a pair of Rigid Industries D2 driving beam lights. In addition, Freedom Cycles is running a chase truck supporting several racers.
