Most riders know they can never be “too visible”—whether they′re riding day or night.
In addition to filling a void in the rear frame, our side panels include an integrated LED lights which blast out 200 Lumens that not only allows you to be seen better during the day, but will broadcast your presence at night—extra safety to help prevent broadside collisions.
This is a must have for riders in congested traffic areas!
As with any electrical accessory for the BMWs, we highly recommend wiring all accessories through a fuse block in order to isolate them from the CAN-Bus system. The Hex EZ-Can works well for this too.
The side panels are simple to install and by wiring the LED lights through a fuse block, they turn off with the ignition.
The product fits ONLY the following models:
- R1200GS-LC (2013-2018)
- R1200GSA-LC (2014-2018)
- R1250 GS-LC (2019+)
- R1250 GSA-LC (2019+)
* NOTE: on the 2021 models the left side panel is in front of the 12v outlet. There is room to fit some sockets into the outlet but some applications may require a 90 degree adapter.
