We understand that some customers prefer the additional piece of mind afforded by mounting crash bars on their new ride.
In developing the protection package for the new KTM 790 Adventure / R, we created adapter brackets to use with the Touratech crash bars to make them compatible with our Ultimate Skid Plate. This adapter kit is not only lighter than the Touratech provided bracket, it provides for a much stronger base as compared to the stock skid plate.
This adapter kit is required when using the Touratech Crashbars with the Black Dog Ultimate Skid Plate.
You will be required to drill two holes on each side of the skid plate to install these brackets onto our skid plate.
This bracket is NOT necessary with other crash bars we have tested such as the Hepco Becker and SWMotech.

FITMENT
This adapter kit is required when using the Touratech Crash bars for:
- KTM 790 Adventure R (2019+)
- KTM 790 Adventure Standard (2019+)
COMPATIBILITY
- Works with stock tank protectors
- Fits with Touratech crash bars. Drilling four holes in the skid plate will be necessary.
- NOT compatible with a center stand
